Your comments

I believe what they are suggesting is a way to reply to specific comments on posts / articles rather than the post / article itself, as I'm doing with your comment right now. I'm specifically replying to yours, rather than posting generally on the suggestion.

It specifies who is being replied to, rather than leaving it up to the reader to assume.

The World Outside can include places in Diagon Alley. There would be no point in adding in a place in Diagon Alley for the two newspapers, as there would then be the "Newspaper Offices" and both forums for the newspapers. The Newspapers Offices is already not very active. There wouldn't be much point in this.

If you suggest they remove the Newspaper Offices or change the name and add in the two forums, then all the topics that have already been created in the Newspaper Offices would either need to be deleted, which would be unfair to the ones who participated in them and don't want them deleted, or they could remain there, but be in the wrong place.

Overall, this isn't necessary and it would just create more inactive forum areas.

I'm agreeing with Jelina. This is getting a bit ridiculous.

I would say that this isn't necessarily very needed as an addition to the site.

On US, Slytherin Quidditch captain has always been given hidden journalist so they are able to make posts about Quidditch tryouts and other Quidditch related articles. With this, they can receive 20 galleons a week like other jobs.

If you speak with your HoH or MoM, they will most likely give you permission to do so as well.

A new color isn't really needed as captains can change often, and it would also make co captains or assistant captains feel like they aren't as important or helpful as the main captain. It's also not very necessary as what they do does not effect normal users like the other jobs (ATs, prefects, etc.) do.

Although this would be an interesting idea, but it would support and promote private topics, as only certain people could get inside. You say that students could obtain the password from friends or "marketers", but if someone doesn't have many friends, or is generally shy and quiet, people may not be willing to give it to them as they don't know them.

It would easily make users feel left out and it contradicts some of the main rules of the site.

That would be awfully complicated, as it wouldn't be the same coding for notifs as wall posts and topics, because it wouldn't be the one posting who would get the notifs and they would have to come up with a way to assign who the notifs go to.

As Valérie said, it could also be an opportunity for people to spam with comments as well, which the journalist wouldn't be able to turn off.

Still really think you're blowing this out of proportion. It's an emoji. As you said, it's everywhere, so why change it in once place? The emoji isn't preventing anyone from chatting.

If I went around saying I felt upset when people used the heart emoji, it wouldn't be changed.

I just commented this, and when the page reloaded, I saw you'd posted it as well! Haha, I completely agree with Valérie.

An illustrator spent their time drawing that emoji out :) I particularly enjoy it.

It's an emoji. Everyone will have their own opinions on the emojis and some will dislike others more than others. If you do not enjoy the emoji, simply don't use it and leave chat if it's being used.
