New Point Achievements
For now the highest achievement we can get to earn points is at 2500 (total) housepoints. I believe it would motivate people even more if there would be more achievements for earning points. Especially as there are many people who earned more than 10.000 points already.
For example it would look like this:
- 5.000 points
- 7.500 points
- 10.000 points
- 15.000 points
- 20.000 points
- 30.000 points
- 50.000 points
- 75.000 points
- 100.000 points
Those who alreay passed the new achievements would get them when they earn points next time. (similarly to the submitted homework achievement which was fixed earlier)
Overview of taken exams, U.W.L's and F.E.W.T's results
Maybe a page under your profile saying "Examinations" or something showing your results from exams etc. It could just be private to give users their own personal overlook, but also public as well. Maybe this can be chosen by the individual user under Settings?
hide cuddle notifications
Please give us the option to hide cuddle notifications. Since cuddling rewards you with EXP, the cuddlewars started and if you have many pets you're notifications are spammed with cuddling messages.
Quidditch Points count as House Points
In the Harry Potter books all points gained in a Quidditch match are added as House Points to fight for the House Cup. I think this would be a nice addition for all Quidditch players that their points made in a Quidditch game will be added to their House Points.
Navigation for the Libary
We, from the Dutch library team use categories for the books in our library with currently the following ones:
- A-Z: This will display books from A to Z, for example all the different Charms.
- Biographies: Information about different people from the books/movies.
- Locations: Information about different locations from the books/movies.
- Courses: (Basic) information about a specific course.
- Textbooks: Books with step by step information on how to get things done, for example for coding tutorials.
- Lists: A book with a list, the Personnel of the School book (which every website has) is a perfect example of this book.
We are noticing the list of books is becoming extremely large with the amount of books that keep getting add after the website has been open for over 10 months already, and it's still growing. So we were thinking it would be wonderful if a new feature could be included: a navigation bar.
How would it work?
The Leader of the Library will get an extra feature in the Admin section for the Library where he/she can edit the navigation. They will get an option to either create, edit or delete items.
If we now work on books it will get an extra area with a dropdown menu, if you click on it it will display the different categories, if you select one of them the book will be published under that category (of course there will be included an others section, to publish books there that can’t go under any other category yet).
How woud it look?
If you go to the Common Room of your house it will display a small navigation already, including Notice Board, The Common Room and Girls’/Boys’ Dormitory. The Navigation would look exactly the same and be located above the ‘Library’ title on the Library page.
report users
Report users to staff or heads of house by one simple click on a button when they don't stick to rules or express bad behaviour.
Great Hall Limited Meals
The Guidelines say we get 3 meals per day, but we are limited to one. It is more believable to have the opportunity to eat all 3 times throughout the day, as that is what would be available in a true Hogwarts experience.
If we implemented this, it would defeat the purpose of the food/money system.
The guidelines are supposed to mean "Food is served 3 times a day, but you can only eat 1 of those 3 times"
Money transfer system
Dear WoPians,
Every once in a while our users ask in chat if it was possible to transfer money (at least our users do). Obviously that is not possible, but it arises the question: why not, after all?
Since these exorbitant credits were removed, maybe it is the time for something like that instead, however, not like “I want everything” but rather in a somehow modified way.
As far as I am concerned, it wouldn’t make very much sense to just be able to shove one’s money from one character/account to another.
Nevertheless, it can be incredibly annoying having to send objects back and forth, or having to log in with a fainted and actually not really actively used character (a rich one who, of course, doesn’t have 200 Galleons at hand you’d nee to skip hospital wing time – whatever for? There’s always the risk of losing money…).
Jumping back and forth between characters, waiting for them to un-faint to be able to buy wizard cards… this can be quite unnerving.
We have many people who prefer to do their assignments only with one of their characters, so the others don’t have as much money on their accounts… you see, the reasons are versatile.
What possibilities would we have to avoid every new character to be loaded? I’ve given that a thought already, and I do have a few suggestions:
- Galleon transfer not until a certain level!
→ Up to lvl 5 it is not possible to send gifts to anyone. What about using that idea also for the money transfer? What about being able to receive money from someone else from lvl 10 onwards, and being able to give money to someone not before lvl 20 onwards.
(this idea would also give the level system more importance)
- maximum level for Galleon transfer!
→ max. 200 Galleons per day, no matter whether one transfers 2 x 100 Galleons to different characters, or 200 Galleons to one character. This resets every day, like the riddles and anagrams do.
- remittance fee!
→ Needless to say that our goblins don’t work for nothing but thin air. 2% remittance fee, if you please! Thank you ever so much!
The fee is deducted directly from the account when transferring the Galleons.
Of course the Galleon transfer works via Gringotts, not via the gifts, and it would be nice to have a small notification, something of the kind “XY has transferred 200 Galleons to your account!”
Gringotts and Gringotts Forum
Gringotts and a Gringotts Forum
A new Topic and a Money storage place.
Gringotts: Allows you to store money so you don't accidentally use it all up in once! This would be an area showing the total money you have and the money you have stored in the bank. You will also be able to make deposits and withdrawals just like you would in gringotts itself.
Gringotts Forum: For more RP options in Diagon Alley under a new tab "gringotts" adding to the wide range of already possible areas to RP on World of Potter.
