Be able to read the books that are in your chest

Laurissa Lestrange 6 years ago updated by Kayte / Angela 6 years ago 5

If a teacher asks you something you don't know, instead of owling them or asking someone else you should be able to go to your chest and read the answer in the textbook for that lesson. This would make homework a lot easier!

The library teams are already working on that feature. Until it is fully available why don't you check the library or the lexicon of your site? I'm sure you will find many answers there (:

Use emoji in owl

foreveridc 6 years ago updated by Kayte / Angela 6 years ago 2

It would be really nice to use the emojis in the owl. If I'm having a really fun talk I always type: "(cwl)" But ofcourse, Nothing would happen. So it would be a really nice idea to add the emoji button in the owl.

No "level up" post when leveling while offline due to pets

Adalynn Greenwood 7 years ago updated by World of Potter 6 years ago 5

Basicly the title. I have noticed my last few levels that they do not show on my profile while leveling up. Due to the xp from pets while being offline and not online during the "server day time" (4am eu time on WoP.eu)

I haven't yet been online but I fail to see any level up in a long time. The last being "29" and I'm now 32, and the 29 was 23 days ago.

Report Bug Feature

Rodrik 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

I would love to give feedback/suggestion on adding a Report bug feature which is implemented into the website which sends to the developers once submitted. https://feedback.worldofpotter.eu Is great and all, however I think a more efficient way to submit bugs would be to have a feature like this, were the users on the site can write/comment on bugs and then click submit and it gets sent to developers who can then review the bugs.  This could be used for all WoP and WoX sites. It would also be great if when someone submits a bug it tracks the location of were they are on the webstie.Image 147

Scary dead students in Hogwarts!

Mika Yamamoto 7 years ago updated by World of Potter 2 years ago 3

Hey everyone.

Well, I really don't know if you guys may have noticed but yesterday on my way to potions class I really had trouble getting there. From here to hell's half acre and back there were wracked and dusty documents anywhere up to the third floor. I really didn't know where to put my foot to pass through this millions and billions of non-active member files!

But guys, this wasn't the worst! Down in the dungeons you couldn't make a step forward without running into a hogwarts ghost. Did you ever run through a ghost?! It is a terrible feeling and I really mortally felt chilly!

One has to stop all the nominal members in Hogwarts and these are the reasons why:

1. A better overview about active members

2. Improving and facilitate the work of backstory team AND Head of House
They don't have to check and reminde those members via owl all over again!
3. Unblock inactive member names!

Alot of names are blocked and it is hard for interessted people to register since a lot of names are

    blocked already.

4. Improving the coherence in Hogwarts and especially in each house

One is not a small member of millions and billions of people, but of a few hundred. It's easier for

    new members to find friends.

5. Loading periods of the website may improve, since there is less data resporitory.

6. Less dead students in the dungeons! (this is really freaky und scary, isn't it?!)

Just to give you a short overview of the dead students and adults in Hogwarts (Germany):

- 19.730 members

- 1.234 active members

__________________________

- 18.496 dead people in Hogwarts!

It is a mass grave!

18.496 blocked Names!

So this is my idea:

Every member who is inactive for over 6 months (because of VIP) should be deleted automatically EXCEPT: the member told one of the staff, that he/she will be inactive for a periode of time. Then the staff should have the possibility to tick a box, that the system recognises it and skipps this member until the staff unticks the box.

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

Mika Yamamoto

Can't unsubscribe from 'You're Missed' emails

Jada Nightflame 7 years ago updated by Kayte / Angela 7 years ago 1

When you sign up for an account you eventually get these 'you're missed' emails offering 2 weeks of free VIP. Wonderful, of course. But there's an option down below to unsubscribe from them, but it doesn't work. I get a 404 page. It's bothering because I have at least one account on every single site and my email is very much spammed with these emails :')

Search in Lexicon

Benjamin Swan 7 years ago updated by Jelina Emilia Hansen 7 years ago 1

A "search" function in the Lexicon would really speed up the search for different topics. People would be able to search for specific words that are not necessarily part of the topic headlines and it would be a great tool for Quidditch and homework.

Gifts don't contain html anymore since pets update

miLLe 7 years ago 0

Since the pets have come to Hogwarts, the text you can write when you send a gift to someone, won't accept html anymore, no matter if you're VIP or not.

Show how many people red an artikel

Stan 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

Maybe it is an idea for all admins who write stuff like the daily profet and stuff, but also for there own houses, to be able to see how many people red there artikel?

I think this could be very helpfull for writers.

Reads the News '____'

Rebekah Langmoore 7 years ago updated by World of Potter 4 years ago 2

I propose a tweak on the Marauders' Map. When we can see what other characters are doing, sometimes it'll say "Reads the News" and then the title of the article. Sometimes it can be hard to find that specific article if it looks interesting, so I think there should be a link that can take us to that article they're reading, unless it's specific to a house. I don't know what you'd do for that, though...

Just an idea.
