World of Potter SA/AUS

Maia Blackburn 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

Hello!

I think that it would be a great idea to have a South African and/or Australian site.. I believe this would be a good idea as fans from these regions would be more comfortable being on these sites.

SA:

Language: In English

VIP Currency: South African Rand

Translations: None

Benefits: Gives South Africans a fanbase. Easier to purchase Vip.

Url: worldofpotter.sa

Timezone: GMT + 2

AUS:

Language: In English

Vip Currency: Australian Dollar

Translations: None

Benefits: Let's Australians be on their correct timezone. Easier to purchase Vip.

Url: worldofpotter.au

Timezone: GMT + 9

I hope you consider these sites. I would be happy to work on them. Please give a vote if you think this should be made possible.

Combining Gringotts and money on hand.

Adalynn Greenwood 7 years ago updated by anonymous 2 years ago 3

A simple idea to combine the two of them so you would not have to withdraw and deposit for everything to be bought and for when you gain more money on the site. So if you have 1000 Galleons on WoP it would show that in the dropdown menu and you would be able to buy everywhere with it. So if you've fainted you can purchase the medicine right away without waiting an hour or depending on having 200 on your hand that you could potentially drop anyway.

Almost everyone has their money in the bank for daily interests anyway, so I see no reason that this cannot become ideal for users and an implemented feature.

Club-Rejection messages shouldn't show in Owlery right away

Adalynn Greenwood 7 years ago updated by Kayte / Angela 7 years ago 2

It is basically in the title. It would be a nice feature to avoid clutter in the owlery and the dreaded deleting of messages you don't want in there.

Just like when sending multi-owls there is a function for the messages not to show before there is a reply. And I'm fine with that. But rejecting 10-20 people a week who apply to clubs anyway is very frustrating and I honestly missclick in the owlery often, accidentally opening the message and having to start ticking all the small boxes again to delete.

Just a quick Quality of Life update that would make the club-leaders' life a little better.

Timetable for feeding at Big Dining Room

Lilith Aureus 7 years ago updated by Vita Auden 7 years ago 2

Could it be possible to add a schedule for meals at the Big Dining Room?

There´s a clock to look at to see how much time is it to get the next meal, but there´s no schedule near the clock to see how is food time distributed over the day.

Level up benefits list

listerness 7 years ago 0

Could there be a list to see what new things you unlock with each level? Like the homework grading, sending gifts, /me in the chat, etc.

New achievements

Jada Nightflame 7 years ago updated by World of Potter 7 years ago 3

I suggest adding more achievements. The points one from this wonderful post: https://feedback.worldofpotter.eu/communities/1/topics/541-new-point-achievements

And in addition to that:

- Log in 500 days in a row

- Log in 750 days in a row

- Log in 1000 days in a row

- 15000 owls sent

- 20000 owls sent

- 500 riddles solved

- 750 riddles solved

- 500 anagrams solved

- 750 anagrams solved

- 750 topics created

- 1000 topics created

- 1500 topics created

- 200 assignments submitted

- 300 assignments submitted

I don't actually know how many assignments can be submitted total, but if possible, 400 or 500

- 1500 homeworks graded

- 2000 homeworks graded

- 2750 homeworks graded

- 4000 homeworks graded

- 5000 homeworks graded

- 750 topics answered

- 1000 topics answered

Adding these would remove the 'empty spaces' on the achievements page if I wrote it down correctly.

Different Way of Entering Clubs

Sean Wooley 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 3

Problem

With the way the system is set up now, once you are accepted into a club, and you click on that club, it automatically takes you into it. The information box for that club no longer pops up. With that in mind, there are times when somebody wants to look at the club information when they're not the owner or management. The owner/management could easily go into the club information and look at it, but since we have to reupload the club photo each time, it can be a redundant and annoying process.

Idea

When you click on a club, it brings up the club information like a user that hasn't joined it yet. At the bottom of the club, there can be a button to "Enter Club." This already kind of exists for management for clubs in which the manager is not a member. This way, anybody can see the club info at any time and then enter the club. It does take an extra step, but this way the club info is always visible to every person.

Homework correction

kyungielover95 7 years ago updated by Anah-ria 7 years ago 1

In my opinion the correction for homework should be better supervised. I've received many unfairly marked works and almost always had to submit a complaint to a teacher. This went as far as me having to complain to the headmaster. The feedbacks are often way to short, even when given the best mark, they should contain more personal feedback than simply "Good, continue!" and the correctors should pay attention the regulations about homework marking. It simply can't be that a 1000-word-fairytale with six different references is marked as equally with an "O" as a text that contains all the answers in three short sentences with no creativity what so ever. There's no comparison at all! The marking system is really disappointing as it is right now and I can't bring myself to write anymore homework. It's simply exhausting to experience that creativity and expenditure of time are not recognized. I'd propose a test for all students about the homework regulations before they're allowed to correct, or at least stop paying everyone for marking. If it's voluntary, I'm sure the students who are still willing to mark homeworks would do it with a clear conscience and mark the submitted work according to the regulations.

As said in the header, I love the "Read all" - button. It makes WoP a lot easier! <3

Center button in owls

Vita Auden 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 0

A very simple thing, but very useful for VIPs to use. I have often times wanted to be able to just center something in an owl, but it never really ends up looking very good without it. Basically also just making it possible to have the same functions as you do in multi-owls! :D
