Please add a "search" function somewhere on the top WoP bar. It would be helpful for those who wants to search for specific topics instead of having to search through every single folder location to find the link.

It would be really fun to see who's reading your topics in a list in the topic, either with usernames or just as a counter on the side of the meta-description.

Additional idea:
As, say, 10 different people have read/followed the topic it will get a bronze-marking, 50 people the topic gets a silver-marking, and 100 people a gold-marking. I think this would motivate more quality threads.
And if anyone were to break a rule or something in the thread the marking would either disappear completely or go down one step (this done by the prefects).

For every different pet there is special food which you can give your pet. We have special food for owls, cats, mice and toads. Now my idea is to make some special food for kneazles and rats too. Those are the new pets, but they only can eat universal food. 

We all know the marauders map and it's many searching abilites.

But what it does not have, is the option to search people by their middle names or just by their surnames only. 

It would make searching for possible long lost relatives tons easier!
Plus, It would make it far more easier for the Backstory team to hunt down improper names.

So what I would propose is that if one types in a name, for example "James". 

Every name that has James as first- middle- or surname appears in full detail.

So when you search you also see everyone's full name, not just their first and last.

In this case Harry James Potter would also appear in the search.

Same thing for surnames, when you search "Potter"

I think all of you know, that you can get VIP, when you was 14 days in a row offline. But why you don`t get VIP, when you havea daily sequence of 50 or 100 days. Since March I was till July every day online. It was a daily equence of 110 or more. But then I was on vacation for two weeks. After that I had VIP.

Maybe you could put something so that you get VIP, after a high daily rate, which is not very high and not too low.
Then you would get VIP for 1 or 2 weeks. Better is for two week, because they DO something. Not like these guys who are 14 days offline and get something for nothing.

It would be great if we could feed the animals directly on the animals page

When the VIP reaches its end soon, it would need a notification to prevent 
expiration. For me, after 6 months, I did not connect much and I was charged 
25 euros. It was a bad surprise. So you need a message to confirm the renewal,
or delete the automatic renewal.

There seems to be a bug with the profile texts for VIPs. My profile text was fine until I coded a song into it. Then, when I went to check my profile text, it showed the following:

This has happened before but then it was just as though it didn't load properly, and could be fixed by just clicking around one or two times. Now, however, that doesn't work. What DOES, however, work, is the following: go to edit profile text, click in the text field, and click save. When you go to your profile then, it's back to normal.

However, it hasn't been like this before, and can be quite disturbing, especially for people whose profile texts are now cut off without them noticing or knowing how to fix it. It hasn't only happened on WoP, it's also happened on World of Walkers (a friend told me about it) and possibly more sister sites:

Note: I do not know if it's like this for non-VIP users as well at the moment. I have no idea when this started to happen and currently do not have any non-VIP accounts to test it on.

Hello! I'm coming here to share an irritation of mine and offer a solution. When you have reacted to a wall post, you will always get a notification if someone else reacts to the same wall post. Most of the time it is not very annoying, but sometimes you will get notification after notification and it sometimes just annoys me.

So wouldn't it be an option to be able to unsubscribe from wall posts, so you don't have to be irritated with these reaction notifications? 

The guidelines are there for a reason, and that it obvious, but many new users find that its too much to read and often skip reading through it, which results in not being able to navigate the site properly, or not understanding parts of the site. I've noticed things like the chat not being used as 'IG' and 'Where do I get a wand?' asked in RP's  happen quite a lot. This idea is like the walk-through you get when visiting the Housepoints for the first time, but quickly explaining the site after you've been sorted. 

• It could highlight the chat, and say that The Great Hall and House Chat are for OOG chatting, while the Quidditch chat is for supporting matches and In game is for.....well, if that's hard to figure out...
• It may highlight the 'Hogwarts' and explain what it is quickly, before clicking on it and explaining a few places in Hogwarts and what their for, in short, snappy sentences.
• It could highlight a couple of the shops and say what they sell, or show you your hunger and points and explain what they mean, and so on and so on.

It's just a quick intro that only takes a few minutes to go through, has the option to skip, and makes sure that new users have a faint idea of the site, but are highly encouraged to read the rules and guidelines too!
