Smirk Emoji
I think there really should be a smirk emoji like there is on Skype.
I really miss that emoji and I think there are a lot of people who feel the same.
In the chat there are a lot of people that use (smirk) which is a non existing emoji on WoP at the moment.
*sorry for the bad english*
Please ask the MoM of your site for it, emojis can be added on every site individually (:
Popcorn
I feel like WoP needs popcorn.
You know, these little crispy pieces of heaven that come out with caramel flavour and you eat while watching your favourite couple arguing in a chat and taking notes for the Gossip column.
Yeah, this kind of popcorns.
Either as a shop item or an emoji, but popcorn <3
Make Juli and Augsust seperated
can we please make juli and augustus 2 seperated months so you can have a 2 week brake after the examens
gift card or send money
I was thinking that since we can't give pets anymore, you could give a giftcard to a certain place like a petstore. This way you could still give them a pet but not through gifts.
Topic Deletion due to presence of banned user
I would like to make a suggestion regarding topic deletion, due to an incident that happened to me recently.
Yesterday I logged on to find that I had received an owl informing me that a topic I participated in was deleted due to a banned user. The topic had been between myself and two others, was well written and thought out, and even got a mention in an article for how good it was. However, some time after we were done with the topic, someone else posted in there randomly. Nothing particular came of it, but then they got banned; and because they got banned, the entire topic had to be deleted.
The reason I am explaining this is because the deletion of the topic felt more like punishment to those of us who had worked hard on it and abided by all the WoP rules. Myself and the other two were gutted that the topic was removed because the other user happened to be present at the end, as we had worked hard on writing our replies and the topic formed a crucial part of all our backstories.
Now, to be clear, I completely understand why the presence of the banned user had to be removed. I am not criticising the prefect team for doing their job; I know they had to do it. However, I would like to raise a query: Is there any way in which the system could be modified so that individual posts can be deleted, rather than whole topics?
Residential areas in Hogsmeade!
It is known that some graduated rather live in Hogsmeade and not in the World Outside! I thought that maybe we could create a new area for topics in Hogsmeade, where the graduates live. This would be easier for students that want to make a topic during their Christmas Break and summer break in their houses with their IG families instead of having to make them in the shopping street
Don't Let Brand New Students Grade Homework
Oftentimes, students who have just joined the site have quite the learning curve ahead of them. When these students jump into grading immediately, they usually don't bother with figuring out how the grading system works right off. If only one week old or two week old students could grade, it would give them an opportunity to read the grading guidelines and get an accurate feel for what assignments deserve as a grade even through their own submitted work in that initial period. I have a feeling the number of grades marking down for detail, grammar, and unrequired information would go down quite a bit.
Users must now be level 3 to grade homework(if the WoP year is greater than 1).
Keeper of Keys and Grounds
Hello!
Have you noticed that there are lots of errors in the site? There are lots of grammar hiccups and typos. Even in the rules of the site. At least.. On the Dutch site.
I suggest that WoP hires a Keeper of Keys and Grounds that can correct all the typos and errors in the site. He/she is responsible for the overall look of the site (concerning the rules and other important written artikels).
(I'm dutch. My English is terrible. Please don't judge :3)
If you know other tasks that the Keeper of Keys and Grounds can fulfill, you can comment it down below. :)
If you see an error on the site please let the Headmaster or MoM know - they keep tabs on editing these things.
Ability to find money as you can lose it
We all know that you can lose/ drop money if you're carrying it around and don't deposit it in Gringotts. But realistically, someone else could find the dropped money. I think the addition of a feature that lets you 'find' the money someone else has lost could be a cool add to the WoP sites, making it more realistic and taking out a little negativity from dropping money. It could also be a little burst of positivity!
I don't know where exactly the mostly small amounts of dropped money go, but if we could make them go to a pool from where it could be drawn to allow people to randomly 'find' it, WoP would not have to put any more in-game money into it. The money itself would not be too much to pose a problem, it would just be about the luck gesture of finding money. It would also be reassuring to those who have lost it, normally a pretty negative thing to happen to you, but knowing that someone else could find it and be happy would make it less bad to lose.
More for Pets
I've had my pet for 110 weeks (about 2 years) Something I've noticed is that almost every pet is either sad or lonely. This is a result of the fact that people simply don't go around cuddling people's pets every day like when they were first introduced, except a few angels of course.
For a very long time, I've thought that it could have been an idea to make it more awarding for others to go around petting pets. This could be, for example, giving an achievement after having cuddled a certain amount of pets. This would encourage more people to go around and petting each other's pets. This could also encourage students to get pets, as it wouldn't just drain their wallet with the amount of food they eat.
