Yeah it is more a collective thing 

I don't feel like we should do so people can't do what they want. If they don't want to do homework that is fine, if they want to post topics at night they can.

This isn't hate, because I know it comes from a good place, but I don't think the reasons are good.

I am not saying it is a bad idea, just that they shouldn't have it their first week.

I think the first thing you mention is the reason why not. People could just make new users in order to send the lowest requirement pets.
