IN-GAME Housepoints
So this would be a "new" category so to speak, on the profile.
I recently realised that for most peaple the housepoints you earn through homework/grading can't be transferen on to your play - to you in game life as a student - because then you would decide that you are better than X-number of players just because you earn points and they don't. SO therefore I would like for their to be points that you CAN use ingame.
These points would clearly be stated to be of in game character only and only reflect your users school life, and not how many grades you give/assignments you finish.
This would be points that could be taken from you if
- You have a topic in the middle of the night and get caught by a teacher/prefect
- Break any rules in general IG
And you can earn it by
- Good IG behaviour basically.
So it would be the points as we knoe them from the books, and they would only matter in topics and in game life. This would be an extra way to show how you think your character is in school to others - And it gives a lot of extra play.
The ability to give/remove points would be given to prefects and professors I think would make most sense.

This would be really good but consider the different time-zones OR are you talking about site time when you say " You have a topic in the middle of the night and get caught by a teacher/prefect"?
I am talking about IN-Game time. If you set the time in your topic to be in the middle of the night :D

Aren't the points we know from the books also given for homework/doing things in classes?
Also I've never actually seen a topic in which someone mentioned the points (even in canon, I cannot think of one person who said "I have XXX points")
Yeah it is more a collective thing
I don't mean it in an "I have earned 120 points this year" way, more in a way to make it easier to play on the whole points system. In the books it is a big thing when your house lose or gain points, and they seem to kind of know who is responsible for both - as when Neville don't want the trio to leave in the middle of the night and cost them housepoints. So it is more a representation of your character: Can people say that the IG blame them for losing points or be proud of them for gaining points to the house.
I only think of it as a fun way to spice the In-Game realism og way to play on and with each other, up :D But not as a way that they IG def know how many points they have or have lost (but to be honest, some people would probably count it xD)
Also a fun way to make it visual when you have a topic or wall-topic with a teacher and get awarded og reducted points
