I noticed this too. I think it's from the new grading feature, where you can see the number of assignments you can grade - it pushes everything else along, so the navbar covers a lot of the screen.

This would be awesome! It'd make me willing to try harder for catastrophes if I know I could get a cool achievement for it :P

Things like the house dormitories work based on your character's gender - if there was a third option added, this would break them.

I'd love for this to be a thing. Truly. But it's more complicated than simply adding an extra button when you join the site D: so it'd take a lot of reworking to get it done properly.

This idea has been talked about many, many times, and it's been established pretty well that it'd be hard to implement. I would absolutely love for it to be a feature, but certain bits of the site would need to be reworked for it D:

How would this affect WoX sites though, where the code is already customised? Would there be a separate dark mode for every site, or one that overrides the custom theme?

I never heard the slightest thing about this - so either it was only on one site or it wasn't that serious an attempt at all. If I'd have known they were letting people apply for jobs, I'd have for sure gone for it, but I just literally never got told by anyone xD

Sites like US have literally tens of thousands of inactive accounts. If you don't log in for over a year, you're realistically not going to use the money you saved up anyway xD even if it was a lot.

I personally feel like it should be added, but I definitely see where you're coming from :D if it was a feature, it would work better if there was some way of avoiding it so people in situations like yours wouldn't have their hard work deleted. But even if that isn't added, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

I think it's more a case of "this can't be done" than "we don't want this to be done". I'd be all for another gender option when signing up, but it would break certain aspects of the site like house dormitories D: right now, stating it in your Profile Text is about the best possible, sadly
