Higher pay for jobs
As of right now students get paid 20 Galleons and adults get 45 Galleons each week for having a job. Honestly it's a very low rate and there's almost nothing you can do with such a little amount of money even if you put it in Gringotts for rates.
I really do think it should get a little boost so it's worthwhile to have a job. I can earn 20 Galleons by grading four pieces of homework. If I'm lucky and they're short it takes less than 10 minutes to do so. I know some jobs may take more time than others but I spend about 30-60 minutes a week to write an article + Quidditch at the moment (Which also takes time quite a while). If anything, students should get 50/75 and adults 100/150 for having a job.

I agree with Adalynn. As a teacher I spend a lot of time writing lessons etc. For 45 a week. They should be higher really.
I think it should be adjusted to the different jobs and what they do...
Journalists could have 40 for the normal work and then a bonus if you write Quidditch also...
AT (or what they are on other sites) could get 80 because they actually make a lot of work...
And so further, but something more fair to what you do at the job.
AT jobs are different on sites. Sometimes ATs have literally nothing to do and gets money for doing nothing. Journalists do have a lot of work as they have to go through brainstorming, interviewing and writing for an article each week, while also thinking ahead of next weeks article. I don't really find these as great examples for less work and a lot of work.
Oh okay that I did not know :o Sorry. I thought it was about the same with a bunch of homework every week... But then yeah okay, but I still see the point in the suggestion, that not all have the same job to do. :o
Salaries are being discussed internally all the time, they might or might not change in the future, but are revised all the time, so closing this.
I would love for this matter to be raised again on the basis that interest rates have now changed. Grad staff, who are not allowed to do homework or grade, cannot make even close to as much money as anyone with a student account as their only means are the weekly salary, riddles, anagrams and interest. Meaning if they don't have much money to start with, they will be surviving on very little, which restricts access to more expensive parts of the site - potions brewing, for example. Think about it: To even get one potion, you have to go through potentially loads of Whispering Wizard wheel spins (50G each) and that's just to get one recipe, never mind the ingredients. Once you have that, and have purchased the ingredients, you have to wait a long time for the potion to be ready, and even if you do everything perfectly, there's no guarantee that the potion will succeed. In the event that it fails, that's more money you have to spend buying fresh ingredients. It simply isn't covered by the current salary, especially if you also need to buy food/drink to survive outside of the free food meal times, or even just generally buy stuff as the purpose of the site is to be able to enjoy it. Please do reconsider this.
