Be able to edit your assignments

I often forget to put in my sources, and then I remember after I've clicked submit the assignment. I am proposing a five-minute window where you could go back and edit the assignment to correct any mistakes you realised you have made after submitting it. This is similar to the ability to edit a topic after posting.

I was about to say that you would be changing an assignment people have begun grading, but 5 minutes might be good and then it could be sent out to graders after those 5 minutes.

I think 5 minutes is NOT enough. How about a day or two to edit assignments? People have real life jobs and/or places to go and do things such as school. Not everyone can sit on a computer for five minutes to fix a mistake, in other words.

You both have really good points. The issue with the few days thing is that would be more complicated to implement from a programming perspective. They would have to alter where the assignments were sent after you finish it and leave it there for two days, it also means that assignments for people who didn't want to edit would have to wait extra time to get their assignment back.

How about a day and thirty minutes as a compromise? I mean, we get an hour to grade assignments, and we have to wait hours for get daily free meals from the meeting point, so we should be able to have a day and thirty minutes in the game. I am not a computer expert, but I do see where you are coming from.

And we have daily riddles and anagrams that are once per day, and we have to wait for new ones daily after correctly or incorrectly, so I think a day and thirty minutes sounds like a good compromise when it comes to editing homework. Since we have to wait for many things in the website, it makes sense that we have a day and thirty minutes to edit homework.

The only reason I think 5 minutes are fine is because that would be to fix small mistakes... why are you submitting stuff with things that need a whole day?

I do my best to submit stuff that is finished, but sometimes I don’t realize the mistakes until after I sent them.

A day and thirty minutes is enough to give time to people who have mistakes on their homework assignments to fix them. A day and thirty minutes would give time for people with busy schedules to fix the homework assignment mistakes that they have made. Not everyone has the time to fix homework assignment mistakes in five minutes.

I am confused about why a day and thirty minutes and not just a day? Also, if it was five minutes it works like topics.

People need to have a day and thirty minutes to edit homework assignments on here because that way they can have enough time to check their homework for any mistakes. Just like with real life school assignments and real life homework assignments. That and not everyone on here can fix a lot of their mistakes in just five minutes, it takes a lot of time to fix a lot of mistakes when it comes to assignments. Not every mistake can be fixed in five minutes.

Then don't hand in an assignment prematurely... also you didn't answer my question about why the thirty minutes more than just a day? It is such a random amount.

That, and everyone has different work schedules and things they have to do.

Five minutes is more than enough, maybe ten at a max, one day is way too much, like Drew said, read over assignments before sending them in, you have 10 weeks to do them anyway, and of course after exam week you get another 10,and more, so you have quite a bit of time to revise it anyway.

I would also imagine you are writing homework assignments when you are free? I understand everyones situations are different but even if you have things to do, you can still check over homework it doesnt need to take a day, and one bad grade isnt really anything bad!
