I have to constantly refresh my page for chat to log.

Chat autoscrolls now if you have ticked the "auto scroll" box in the top of the chat (:

You could try different zoom stages like 80% or 100%, for some it only works at a special stage. I guess it's something about your screen's resolution and size...
