training coordinator

Explanation: A person who ensures that adult characters on World of Potter can pursue an official occupation. For example, these professions could be displayed as official statuses in the profile. The training coordinator could take care of assigning these statuses, because it would be illogical that nearly every person is a wandmaker.

In addition, he could coordinate his own team, which takes care of a selected number of training occupations. He/She would be similar to the Headmaster, coordinating his team of job trainers (examples listed below). The job trainers would write classes, just like the teachers. Depending on the job they could take up 3-4 years.

Training occupations:

Healer:

  • The profession of a healer in the magical world equals with a doctor in the Muggle world. For this reason, healers are also similarly highly respected and esteemed personalities. They work with potions, but also spells and herbs. So to work as a healer, you need unequaled or exceeded expectations in the subjects Potions, Transfiguration, Herbalism, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Furthermore, healers are used in a variety of places, such as Quidditch tournaments or Tournamenten.

  • Possible employer: St. Mungos Hospital; wizardry schools

Auror:

  • If you want to work as an Auror, you have to show excellent performance during his schooling. A NEWT in Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Herbalism are therefore essential. In this profession one is entrusted by the Ministry with special security tasks. One protects society from black magic phenomena. Duels with black magicians are therefore not uncommon in everyday working life.

  • Possible employers: Ministry of Magic (worldwide)

Magic Zoologist:

  • Magiologists are in some ways closely related to the profession of the Drachologist. Her vocation is to explore magical beasts and record her discoveries in writing. Of course, they have to work in this profession both practically and theoretically. Especially the practical part can quickly become dangerous, as a large number of magical creatures were classified as particularly insidious. Also the classification of the danger level of magical animal beings is a large part of this profession. A school education is not necessarily required, but it is still advantageous if you have an unequaled in the subjects care magical creatures and magic art.

  • Possible employer: magic schools; Ministry; independently

Curse breaker:

  • Other than the name suggests, as a curse breaker you do not just break curses, but are primarily responsible for bringing gold and treasures back to Gringotts Wizarding Bank. For this reason, it is also the Bank of Gringotts, where one is trained and eventually hired.

  • If one compares this profession with that of the Muggle world, then the closest equivalent of the Curse-Breaker would be the profession of archaeologist. Adventurous people are therefore welcome.

  • Possible employer: Gringotts

  • Qualifications: UTZ in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Transfiguration and Charms; ZAG in Arithmancy

Obliviator:

  • In this profession, one is mainly concerned with modifying the memories of muggles who have somehow gained knowledge of the magical world. This includes sightings of magical beings as well as intentional or unintentional performed magic in the presence of muggles.

  • Possible employers: Ministry of Magic

Alchemist (optional):

  • You can compare Alchemy with chemistry. Our Chemistry is kind of the modern/muggle Version of Alchemy but it is much more than potions. In Potions they would never teach you how to brew gold. It is a combination from many different subjects (Potions, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Herbology). The teacher for Alchemy could make it a requirement to have the OWL in those subjects if you want to take the class. Beside the fact this subject is offered in the last two years in Hogwarts it shows that this is a very important subject to teach the students how it is to work as a savant. And we know, that there are still witches and wizards who are actively studying and practicing Alchemy in the twentieth century.

  • Possible employers: St Mungo, Pharmacy, independently

Explanation of the instructors:

The team members who writes the training occupations are automatically leaders of this area. That means:

  • Head of the Auror Office

  • Head of St. Mungo

  • Head of Obliviator Center

  • Head of the animal authorities (evt.)

  • Head of the Gringotts Curse Breaker Center

  • Scholar (alchemist)

The training could include 3-4 years duration and various graduate trades (at least some of them) These are then displayed after successful completion similar to a status in the profile, with the respective graduates! In order to bring some diversity in it, users can choose from different jobs after completing a training:

  • Auror training with degrees: Auror officer, Auror Commander, Magical Law Enforcement Team, and more.

  • Healer training with the degrees: Medimagier, Matron, healer

  • Forget-me-not training with degrees: Forget-Me-Not, (Muggle Liaison)

  • Magizoologist training with the degrees: Magizoologist, specialized: dragon trainer, owl trainer, instructor for security trolls possibly expandable

  • Curse breaker training with the degrees: Cursebreaker

  • Alchemist education with degrees: Alchemist, Potions brewer

In order to learn the respective occupations at all, the characters in some subjects have to have a NEWT (optional). One can follow the already known qualifications:

  • Healer Qualifications: (OWL) or NEWT in Potions, Transfiguration, Herbalism, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts

  • Magizoologist Qualifications: NEWT in Care of Magical Creatures; OWL in Charms, Herbalism, Transfiguration, and Potions

  • Cursebreaker Qualifications: NEWT in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Transfiguration, and Charms; OWL in Arithmancy

  • Alchemist Qualifications: NEWT in Potions, Herbalism, Astronomy, and Transformation

  • Obliviator qualifications: NEWT in Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts, OWL in Muggle Studies

  • Auror Qualifications: NEWT in Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts

These professions can be located in the following places to get the education:

  • Aurors and Obliviators: Ministry

  • Healer: St. Mungo

  • Magizoologist: possibly Ministry (or elsewhere)

  • Cursebreaker: Gringotts

  • Alchemist: St. Mungo, pharmacy

Important: You can of course write all trainings, but after completion of these trainings only one status can be chosen by the users!

Smaller jobs, which do not fill a complete education due to lack of information or because they are simply too unattractive, can be awarded directly as status.  For example:

  • barmaiden

  • Quidditchplayer

  • expandable

Some jobs, as they are rarely represented in the HP universe, should be awarded through a status competition. Amongst other things:

  • Wandmaker

  • Broomstickmaker

  • expandable

Hello my fellow WoP Users,

today I will show you an idea, that came to my mind a few months ago. I hope you like it! I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas as well :) maybe this is something we can realize one day!

Some of management is also part of this. You can roleplay as these characters when older, but I don't see the point of having colors etc. Lovely idea though!

What Maia said, I dont see the purpose of colours. other than that it sounds like a good idea! though I believe you mean Potioneer instead of alchemist.
